THMH is in the scenic and historical village of Uffington and has two function rooms. The larger (17m x10m) can seat 175 persons and the smaller (8m x 8m) ,75 persons in theatre format. It is the ideal venue for activities, receptions, family parties, meetings and life celebrations. (see the plan view page).
Inside Facilities
The function rooms can be hired separately or combined for a large event.They both have independent heating systems. A well equipped modern kitchen includes a range cooker, refrigerators, commercial dishwasher, wall mounted water boiler and a food warming unit. Some crockery/cutlery/glasses are available but your requirements for these should be checked when booking. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet in addition to all the usual personal facilities. Upholstered chairs and two different table sizes are provided. Ground floor areas are on one level and fully accessible to wheelchair users.
The large function room has a comprehensive Audio/Visual system with a 4 metre screen and a loop system for those with hearing difficulties. The smaller function room has a Audio/Visual system including a loop system and is ideal for meeting presentations and smaller party music. High Speed Fibre Broadband is provided throughout the building.
Outside Facilities
The large car park can accommodate 70 cars if carefully stewarded. Anyone who wishes to use the car park for extended periods or overnight should contact the Hall Committee in advance via email information@thmh.co.uk.
The Hall is located on the village common, called the Jubilee Field which is regularly mown and has a lush grass surface. It is surrounded by many mature trees and is ideal for a picnic. The common has a tarmac multi sports area and a child's playground. The Village Shop and Post Office is next to the car park for any supplies etc you may need for your activity.
Group Activities
The Hall is used by many regular groups/hirers. These include Fitness classes, Mother & Toddlers, Church Lunches, Young persons activities, Garden Club,Tearoom, Farmers Market etc. There are periods remaining available in the week and at weekends to hire for private events, parties and meetings. The Stage
The large function room has a permanent stage available for hirers to use by arrangement with the management. The Uffington Players, use this and the Hall as their base. (See Links page).
